Tristan Bouyer
Esther Boyer College of Music, Temple University, Philadelphia, PA

My name is Tristan Bouyer, and I have been a percussionist for 8 years. I am a second-year music student at Temple University, currently studying with Phillip O’Banion and Bill Wozniak. At Temple, I am the recipient of the Boyer College Award. Throughout my high school years, I had the pleasure to be a part of the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra (2021-2023), as well as the All-City Philadelphia High School Orchestra (2019-2023). During this time, I was a recipient of the All-City Orchestra Fellowship, which offered free lessons and subsidized instrument purchases in partnership with the Philadelphia Orchestra.
I was the winner of the 2023 All-City Concerto Competition, and performed movement 2 of Emmanuel Séjourne’s Concerto live at the Kimmel Center’s Verizon Hall. In the summers, I’ve attended the Boston University Tanglewood Institute Percussion Workshop and Orchestra, as well as the National Orchestral Institute and Festival. I have been fortunate to perform in masterclasses with Eric Shin, Jauvon Gilliam, and James Ross. I aim to one day be an orchestral performer, but would also love to continue playing in solo and chamber applications.
