Hey y'all, my name is Kevin Tinoco-Gonzalez, and I'm a sophomore music education major at Temple University. My instrument of concentration is trumpet; however, I've had a passion for piano for the past 8 years. While I grew up in Reading, PA, and was principal trumpet in the Reading Symphony Youth Orchestra, I’ve settled in Philadelphia looking for greater and more plentiful opportunities to share my love of music making with others. Nowadays I find myself playing in my university's symphonic band, marching band, as well as several jazz bands. I also recently joined a salsa band!
This year, I am looking forward to marching in the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade in New York with the marching band, and if possible, I would like to start a mariachi band of my own soon! In conclusion, I'm very grateful for the role RMF has had in presenting me with these opportunities, and like those behind TFMFMEF, I hope someday I can do my part to provide the same opportunities to the next generation of musicians..
